Methodology
Approach

RNIHT - Icon White - Firefly.png

Rwanda Skating Federation has launched the RNIHT Program initiative “at a higher level” (corporate, national, and global) - allowing Rwanda Skating Federation and RNIHT to set a clear direction and have it adapted and executed locally with consistency and scale.

Our main reason for this approach is a unified vision and strategy. Having a central launch sets the overall goals, messaging, and standards, so every local unit understands the same big picture and doesn’t pull in different directions. Related to the RNIHT brand consistency and transparency - starting at the top (higher level) helps protect the brand’s look, feel, and promises, so individuals have a similar experience in different locations, communities or markets.

Efficiency and Economies of Scale: It’s often cheaper and faster to design programs, tools, and campaigns once at a central level and then roll them out, instead of each local team reinventing the wheel.

Better Coordination and Control: A higher-level launch lets leadership coordinate timing, budgets, and resources, and monitor performance more easily.

Faster Scaling of What Works: When a new product, process, or policy is proven, launching it from the top helps it spread quickly across many locations instead of growing slowly one local site at a time.

Local Adaptation: Even with a top-level launch, local teams usually tailor the initiative to their market’s culture, regulations, and customer preferences, which makes it more effective on the ground.

Use of Local Relationships: Local teams have community ties and customer relationships that the central organization can’t replicate, so the local level is where the strategy really becomes concrete actions and results.

Feedback Loop Upward: As local units implement, they send back data and feedback, which the higher level can use to refine or adjust the overall approach, creating an ongoing ripple effect both down and up.

In short, the Rwanda Skating Federation has launched RNIHT (and hockey program) so it may define and scale a coherent strategy, relying on local levels to adapt, deliver, and improve it where adaptations actually are.

Road Map:

 2026-2029

[1]

2026

Set to be a defining year for the program, focused on growth, discipline, and continuous improvement. It will serve as a period dedicated to development, where athletes commit to refining their fundamentals, strengthening teamwork, and elevating their overall performance.

[2]

2027

This year marks a pivotal moment for the program, as it shifts its focus toward the continued growth and success. With an historic opportunity to make Rwanda National Inline Hockey Team's first appearance at the 2027 Africa Cup in Namibia, the program holds an agenda to prioritize preparation, development, and international competitiveness.

[3]

2028

Marking the program’s second return to the Africa Cup, signaling a deliberate and forward-thinking progression. This return is not simply to repeat past participation, but part of a broader strategy to build on prior experience, strengthen performance, and elevate the program’s presence on the continental stage.

[4]

Our “Sponsor a Stick” initiative is a simple yet powerful way to support the growth of our inline hockey program. By sponsoring a stick, you’re not just providing essential equipment—you’re investing in player development, access, and opportunity for athletes at every level.

Each contribution helps remove barriers, strengthens our program’s foundation, and ensures our players have the tools they need to train, compete, and succeed. It’s a small gesture that makes a lasting impact on the future of our team and the game we love.

When you sponsor a hockey stick through our program, you gain valuable visibility by being featured on our website within dedicated advertising space. Sponsors have the option to showcase either their personal name or their company’s name, allowing for flexible recognition that aligns with your goals—whether that’s building personal support or promoting your business. This placement ensures your contribution is acknowledged while connecting you with our engaged hockey community.

If you’re inspired to make a difference through our “Sponsor a Stick” initiative, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out through the contact form—we’re excited to connect and share how you can get involved!
